Inclusiveness Conference

This year’s date will be Wednesday, October 17 and will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. This year’s theme is Diversity Within Religion. It is part of TCU's Theme Semester, "Rights. Responsibilities. Respect," and is co-sponsored with the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life.  Please see the agenda below for the day’s activities.

The conference will have an opening dialogue featuring Dr. John Francis Burke from the Texas Council of Humanities. There will be then be a variety of topics pertaining to diversity within religion. The monthly Inclusiveness Luncheon will then take place at 11:45 a.m. and will have as its keynote speaker Dr. Manochehr Dorraj from the Political Science Department. Afterwards, Dr. Brent Plate and Betsy Flowers from the Department of Religion will hold a closing session.

Platanos and Collard Greens is a thought provoking romantic comedy that tells the story of two college students, Freeman, an African-American man and Angelita, a Latino woman, both forced to confront and overcome cultural and racial prejudices while defending their bond from the biases held by family and friends.
