Community Scholars Program
The Community Scholars Program attracts students of color from area high schools to TCU by awarding scholarships and providing support services throughout their college career at TCU. We encourage these students to pursue advanced degrees and help them grow into community and business leaders. E-mail Michael Marshall at m.marshall@tcu.edu for more information and an application. The TCU Community Scholars Program is designed to make TCU a quality college choice for students of color from local high schools within the local area. High schools participating in the program include Diamond Hill-Jarvis, Dunbar, Northside, O.D. Wyatt, Polytechnic, South Hills, Trimble Technical, Sam Houston (Arlington) and Lincoln (Dallas). Candidates for the program must meet general TCU admission standards.
Important Dates
Dec. 1 Completed application due.
Mar. 1 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) must be filed. March Scholarship finalists will visit TCU to tour the campus and to participate in an interview with TCU faculty, staff and community leaders.
April Community Scholars will be notified and awards will be presented at the annual TCU Intercultural Banquet.
